Without the Joliet Job Corps Center’s students, it would have been a very scary situation Thursday at Witches Night Out.
Held at Joliet’s historic Jacob Henry Man-sion, the annual costume party raises thousands of dollars for local charities benefiting women in need.
One of its most popular features is the Witches Bazaar and the dozens of booths offering everything from fancy pointed hats to rhinestone pins shaped like broomsticks. When the Witches Night Out Committee needed help setting up the tons of merchandise right before the event, the students were ready to lend a hand.
