Career Transition Readiness students recently visited Joliet’s Goodwill Workforce Center. Workforce Coordinator Joyce Cooper — a true friend to the Center and its students — assisted them as they signed up for employment training events at Goodwill and to receive job leads via e-mail and telephone.

She also helped the students as they researched job openings, developed their resumes and worked on their interview skills. Ms. Cooper explained the concept of dressing professionally and reiterated the importance of owning clothing that is interview ready.

The Career Transition Department staff truly appreciates Ms. Cooper and the staff at Goodwill Industries. We’re working together to better prepare students for successful careers after they leave the program.
