The Grad 90 students at the Joliet Job Corps Center are working diligently to obtain employment before separating from the pro-gram.
So seven of them visited the Workforce Services Division of Will County this week. The Workforce Center is commonly a “One-Stop,” and it is another tool that’s available to students as they prepare to enter the workforce. One-Stop Career Centers are designed to provide a full range of assistance to job seekers and offer training referrals, career counseling and job listings. Connie Ellis, the Customer Service Representative, did a brief presentation to outline the services and then allowed the students to check out job leads and sign up for upcoming workshops.
The students made good use of their time and completed numerous applications while the staff checked their resumes and cover letters.
Everyone in the Career Transition Period Department is proud of the hard work that the Grad 90 students are doing as they prepare to enter the workforce. Joliet Job Corps Grad 90 students are truly “Leaders in the Making!”
