Christmas is for making memories.
And on Monday, the Joliet Job Corps Center’s staff mentors and student mentees got together to create new ones — and some Christmas ornaments.
A group of more than 100 gathered in the Life Center to enjoy cookies, punch and a little creativity. Safety Officer Morgan McFarland and a group of students had already organized the self-adhesive pieces to make 320 ornaments into individual plastic bags. Then each person chose two. Then they sat down and got to work. When it was all over, everyone
had new decorations to enjoy.
