The Finance and Administration Department hosted the monthly awards assembly on April 6.

“Live From the Red Carpet,” was an Academy Awards-style event that celebrated Women’s History Month.

Student Zharia Finley paid tribute to two women who have made a significant impact in their fields but aren’t widely known: Kathryn Smith, the first Female NFL Coach, and Esperanza Spalding, the Grammy Award-winning jazz musician

Jasmine Akins was recognized for her hard work on Center.

Students Nyvvia Melendez, Matthew and Robert Taylor performed during the assembly, reminding the female students that they are powerful and can accomplish anything they set out to do.

The assembly concluded with the recognition of the Tile and Floor Covering as Trade of the Month. Congratulations!
