In commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States Ramey Job Corps celebrated the Freedom Day or Juneteenth. Thanks to the collaboration of Professor Osvaldo Rosado, the students carried out various activities related to the date.
The students enjoyed a presentation that explained what Juneteenth is and what is the history of this holiday and a drawing contest related to the celebration was held. In addition to the drawing contest, two students recited poems in honor of the liberation from slavery.
