Old Dominion Job Corps students and their trade instructor Monroe Baldwin, Work-Base Learning coordinator Tim Calabrese attended Hickeys Plumbing Air and Electrical grand opening, learning what it takes to start and run a business and good public relations. Students enjoyed meeting the owner, workers and the importance of apprenticeships. There was lots of food and fun, and they met Amherst County Chamber of Commerce President Sabrina Kennon and Sherie Fulcher, Department of Labor and Industry Commonwealth of Virginia, Division of Registered Apprenticeships.
