Jacksonville Job Corps student Leon P. Key III was recognized by the North Florida Chapter of the E3 Business Group, Inc. for his outstanding efforts and contributions to the organization as an intern during the summer Youth Achievement in Technology program. The event, held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 spotlighted Leon for his service as an IT Technician providing computer repair and supervising the refurbishing of over 20 donated Dell computer systems. In addition he was lauded for his creation of an Ebay page for the chapter and overall professionalism. Anthony Butler, Executive Director and Founder of E3 (www.e3businessgroup.org) stated “In the 20 years I have mentored over 200 young people Leon is one of my top interns ever.”
Mr. Key’s immediate family was recognized as well for having such a great son and brother. Leon was awarded a full scholarship to the E3 Development Series for entrepreneurs; a 24 week course which takes aspiring entrepreneurs through all aspects of business. The course is valued at $1800.00. Jacksonville Job Corps will provide transportation to and from the evening trainings. The first course, “So You Want To Be an Entrepreneur” began on September 14, 2011.
