Volunteers for Daniel

Jacksonville Job Corps students and staff participated in the C-Core Mentoring Project for Daniel, Inc..  Seven students and 3 staff volunteers assisted with the Rock N Ride Community Awareness and Fundraiser for the organization. Hundreds of   Bikers rode for 60 miles for the kids at Daniel and the volunteers assisted with setting up, serving the hundreds of participating Bikers and cleaning up.  The students had an opportunity to take a picture with Mayor Brown.  In his greetings to the audience the Mayor acknowledge the Jacksonville Job Corps volunteers.

Approximately 10,000 Duval County Children are abused, neglected or abandoned each year.  Becoming  a force of change behind these young faces is what Daniel is all about.  This organization provides a supportive haven where these battered children can heal.  Daniel serves over 10000 children and their families everyday through a variety of innovative programs.  This was a unique opportunity for the students at Job Corps and they relished in the opportunity to make a difference.
