On May 12, 2012 students volunteers from the Jacksonville Job Corps Center spent 4 hours participating in a beach clean-up.  The students were tasked to pick up trash, cans, cigarette butts etc.  The students are regular volunteers for this project.  During the Global Youth Service Day volunteer activities students and staff from the Jacksonville Job Corps Center picked thousands of cigarette butts on Jacksonville Beach.

The Clean Green Project is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the beach and make a difference at the same time.  The project is facilitated by Hands on Jacksonville.
