The National Job Corps Association recently challenged students in Job Corps Centers around the country to participate the an Oratory Contest. Student had the opportunity to share their story about their Job Corps Journey. Jacksonville Job Corps were excited about participating in the contest with the possibility of sharing their story in Washington.
Students gathered in the Center’s Theater Room and presented their presentation of their lives prior to Job Corps, what they’re doing with the opportunity while at Job Corps and how they’re preparing themselves for life after Job Corps. Students and staff were supportive of those students willing to provide details of their personal stories. Two finalist were chosen to present their video taped stories to the NJCA. We congratulate those finalist from our center and wish them well.
