Students from the Jacksonville Job Corps Center participated in the 35th Annual Gate River Run on March 10, 2012. The Gate River Run is the largest 15k in the United States and serves as the the USA 15K Championship with America’s top Olympic athletes competing for 85,000.00 in prize money. The students participated in the massive post clean-up after the race was over. The broke down tables, racks, packed boxes, etc. It was a rewarding experience for the students to participate in such a major event for the City of Jacksonville.
The students volunteered through the Hope World Changers organization.
