JJC students Intern at Congresswoman Corrine Brown’s Office

Ms. Chatman meet with JJC students

As a long time supporter of the Jacksonville Job Corps Center Congresswoman, Corrine Brown continues to support the center through the Work Base Learning Program.  Ms. Brandie Minkos and Mr. Anthony Bethel were selected for a 6 week internship through the center’s Work Base Learning program in the Congresswoman’s  Jacksonville office.  Mrs. Carolyn Chatman-Community Development Specialist for the Congresswoman was delighted to provide the learning experience to the students.

The interns are from the Office Administration Trade at Job Corps and will complete their training at the Congresswoman’s office. Once the students have met specific requirements they are placed in work-base situations to enhance their learning as they move into employment arena.  This is an opportunity of a lifetime for the students, they are looking forward to the experience.
