Jacksonville Job Corps Offers Career Training
The Jacksonville Job Corps Center was featured on the channel 4 Morning Show. Mr. Kenderson Hill, Center Director and Mr. Robert Thornton, SGA President were the guest for this #1 rated Morning Show in Jacksonville, Florida. The interviewees were asked questions about the center and why Job Corps is such a tremendous asset to communities all over the country. Mr. Hill, Center Director shared all the services and opportunities that this federally funded vocational program provides to students that meet the requirements. Mr. Hill is new to the Jacksonville community, he hails from Albany , Ga. where he was Deputy Director at Turner Job Corps.
Mr. Robert Thornton, current SGA President shared his appreciation for the opportunity that Job Corps provides to him and students past and present. Robert is pursuing certification in the HVAC trade and stated that he researched the opportunities available to him through job corps and decided that this was an opportunity of a lifetime.
