Students at the Jacksonville job Corps Center volunteered Sept. 29 and 30th at the National Voter Registration Drive sponsored by Congresswoman Corrine Brown. The students assisted with setting up and breaking down chairs and tables, manning the popcorn and snow cone machine for the hundreds of participants at the event.
Students also had the opportunity to register to vote and make other changes at the local Supervisor of Elections Office. Students also had the opportunity to meet Congresswoman Corine Brown, Senator Bill Nelson, Author Eric Dyson and many others community members that attended the event.
The students continually sign up and participate in community service projects.
