Jacksonville Job Corps Students Register To Vote!

The ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority visited the Jacksonville Job Corps Center to register interested students to vote.  The Voter Registration Drive occurred April 9, 2024, at the center in the gymnasium.  Students were invited to a presentation about the importance of voting and the voting process was explained.  Students were surprised to learn that they could register at 16 but would not be eligible to vote until they were 18 years of age.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a sorority that was founded in 1913 and is focused on Scholarship, Service and Sisterhood.  Social Action is a large part of the mission of the organization.  Many students had previously registered but thirty-one registered on April 9, 2024.  The sorority visits the center annually for voter registration.
