Jacksonville Job Corps Center Host Medical Professional for COVID19/Vaccine Information Session

In a call to action to allay concerns and answer questions relating to vaccine hesitancy and COVID19, the Jacksonville Job Corps Center hosted Dr. Kim Barbell-Johnson during their monthly In-service day. Dr. Johnson is a family Medicine Specialist here in Jacksonville, Florida and has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. During the center’s scheduled In-service day on February 12, 2021 a lengthy and informative session was provided to the staff. Staff members were asked to submit questions and concerns in advance so that Dr. Johnson could profoundly address each one.

Dr. Johnson participates in many community informational sessions to assist he community in understanding COVID19 and address vaccine hestiancy. Staff members came away with a clearer understanding of the virus, how it spreads, how the vaccine was processed so quickly and the benefits derived from the vaccine. The educational enlightenment for the staff was very much appreciated.
