On Friday afternoon, former State Representative Audrey Gibson swore in eight newly elected and appointed officers of the Student Government Association of the Jacksonville Job Corps Center. The students took their oath as over 300 of their peers looked on.
Mr. Kenderson Hill, newly appointed Center Director joined the representative in congratulating the following officers: President-Robert Thornton, VP-John Schuetz, Secretary-Alfonso Cano, Female Chief Justice-Elsie Maldonado, Treasurer-Abril Pollard, Male Chief Justice-Gregory Johnson, Non-Residential Representative-Elonda Thomas, Sergeant-At-Arms Devvante B. Gordon and Activities Coordinator-Crystal Emery.
SGA President Thornton said, he’s looking forward to fostering solid working relationship with JJC’s administration and staff. “We (students) intend for this to be a banner year, full of promise and excitement.”
