Students and staff from the Jacksonville Job Corps Center participated with the City Rescue Mission’s Feeding the Homeless Project. The students look forward to assist the organization needs. Douglas Breland and Gabriel Smith enjoyed talking to some of the residents at the center, some indicated that Job Corps gave them their start many years ago.
The students assist with serving food, cleaning tables and greeting the hundreds of men, women and children and come to the Mission for meals. The City rescue mission is a 501 (c) 3 corporation that provides food, clothing, shelter and residential recovery programs to homeless men, women and women with children. The mission does not receive any governmental funding.
The students are proud to have the opportunity to give back to the community through this project.
