On November 19, 2011 Jacksonville Job Corps students participated in the Jacksonville Beach Beautification Project. The students arrived early Saturday morning to a beautiful and sunny day to get Jacksonville Beach litter free. Armed with several garbage bags for trash and cigarettes butts the students set about the beautification process.
Jacksonville Job Corps volunteers collected numerous bags of cigarette butts, water bottles, cans and miscellaneous trash from the beaches. Students walked for several miles and enjoyed the clean up. It was an opportunity for community service and physical fitness.
