The City of Jacksonville hosted it’s annual Senior Citizen Luncheon at the Wyndham Hotel in November 2012. Hundreds of senior citizens arrived for this festive occasion. The seniors were served by several volunteer organizations including the Jacksonville job Corps students. Students from the CNA and MA trade volunteered for this wonderful event.
Two staff members assisted the students in serving an energrtic and eager crowd of senior seniors. Mayor Alvin Brown was the featured speaker for this event. The seniors were delighted to have the assistance of the volunteers assisting them with cutting their meat or bringing them more tea.
The students had a wonderful time participating in this worthy event.
