One of the Iroquois Job Corps Center’s community partners is the Genesee County Nursing Home, an 80 bed residential health care facility and adult home located in Batavia, NY.  The Iroquois Job Corps Center has partnered with Genesee County Nursing Home as the clinical training facility for IJCC’s Certified Nursing Assistant’s, as well as a worked-based learning site.  With the challenging employment enviroment in New York State and surrounding states, some graduating students have been taking advantage of the employment opportunities from this community partner by accepting open full time positions with this facility.  Since January 2011, four Iroquois students have accepted full time positions.  Additionally, the Genesee County Nursing Home operates a 12 bed, 24/7 skilled nursing care, and rehabilitation unit.
