Inland Empire Job Coprs Students Selected for Interview for Success Program

Arrowhead United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council has developed Interview for Success to mentor and help women 18 to 24 to find and keep jobs.

Each participant in the program was interviewed for what she needs from the program and her goals in life. The first part of the program was a one day workshop where participants learned to write a resume, do mock interviews, how to dress, how to use social networking to their advantage and how to live within a budget. After the workshop, the young women received funds to help them start on their journey toward a career. They used their funds to make approved purchases such as work attire or bus passes to get to work. The young women were also paired with members of the council to be their long term mentors as they search for a job and work toward their educational and career goals.
