HH Humphrey has a new Career Preparation Period area. Constructed with the help of ARRA funds, it is a suite of classrooms and counseling areas. Putting some finishing touches in the area led to an unexpected project for some HBI students. These students did a window installation for the first time, cutting the space and framing it. It was their first encounter with metal studs and the actual installation. “They made a few rookie mistakes,” said Nathan Wilson, “but it was nothing that they couldn’t fix and they did. Work like this demands teamwork and these students did very well.”
