Humphrey nursing and medical office support students attended a medical careers job fair for career exploration with exhibitors for employment at veterans’ homes, nursing homes, group homes, memory care programs and clinics. Some of the employers were well known to our staff, but the broad scope of this event opened up at least thirty new employment possibilities. Events like these give the students a broader view of different types of career paths they may choose and what qualifications they will need in this large marketplace. The health care industry in Minnesota is the fastest growing and it is the largest segment of employment in the state.
