HH Humphrey students spent the evening with young cancer patients at the Rein in Sarcoma fundraiser. This annual event raises money for sarcoma cancer research at the University of Minnesota. Sarcoma affects children, in particular, and this benefit helps to fund research and treatment programs. The family picnic and evening’s events are a momentary respite for people battling cancer. It is an all-family event that includes a silent auction, the Garden of Hope, entertainment and a children’s arcade and games area run by our students. Gentle fun is sometimes the only option for a child going through chemo and our students were dedicated to making that possible.
