At the core of what we all do, the most exciting times at Job Corps are in the classroom. These six Humphrey students have challenged themselves and each other to earn as many certifications as possible in their Office Administration trade. As a group, they have earned seventy-three so far, with more to come. “It increases our odds of getting the job we want,” says Bobby Mayberry as he completed his Sentence Clarity, Alpha Filing and Numeric Filing certifications to add to the OPAC Basic Math, Keyboarding 1 & 2, Windows 7 and Windows Vista. Anthony Spearman is the leader at this point with nineteen certifications in Bank Reconciliation, Bank Deposits, Petty Cash, Basic Math, Windows 7, Windows Vista and XP, Basic Excel 2012, Power Point, 10-Key, Proofreading, Numeric Filing, Record and Alpha Filing, Data Entry 1, 2, and 3, Basic Word and Proofreading 1 and 2. Pai Yang is second with thirteen, Soe Reh is third with eleven, and Ner Wah is fourth with ten. They all intend to continue to add to these credentials!
