Fifteen Humphrey students were chosen to be part of a live television broadcast aired by the local ABC affiliate on behalf of the Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids drive. The students were given this opportunity because of the work that Humphrey students have done for the Salvation Army. Once a week, the Career Preparation students help prepare for and serve a meal at the Citadel in downtown St Paul. They also do phone work and data entry for the Toys for Tots push in November and early December. Their efforts resulted in this latest opportunity to be part of the live studio audience show which raised $26,000 from the viewers. After the show they got to meet with Steve Patterson, host of Twin Cities Live (shown above with the students) and ask questions.
