The season of snow is coming and many children need warm coats and jackets to protect them against the cold. The Salvation Army has been fundraising and accepting gently used garments through its Coats for Kids campaign. It’s been very successful. The next step: Humphrey students helped the Salvation Army by sorting coats for distribution to children. These garments needed to be organized by size and gender and packaged for transport to the Salvation Army’s distribution points. The Humphrey group of five students and WBL Coordinator Mary Stone were able to sort more than 1000 coats as part of their service project for the Salvation Army’s efforts.
