Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps student volunteers participated in the 15th annual Rein in Sarcoma fundraiser held on the Como Zoo and Conservatory grounds. This annual event supports cancer research at the University of Minnesota, particularly sarcoma research. Many of the event’s participants are children in treatment for cancer. They and their families and friends comprise almost half of the more than 1600 attendees. Others come to support the research efforts by bidding on donated auction items. There is a large area of the event devoted to kids’ activities and The Humphrey students help to run this section.
