October is Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) month. On the campus of Hubert H Humphrey, posters went up, knowledge quizzes were posted in the daily Bulletin and information was presented at Assembly during BCA week. The Health and Wellness department, the cafeteria and student volunteers planned these events and an information display that went up in the cafeteria, including the fact that men and women can get breast cancer. For one day, all students and staff were allowed to wear pink shirts and the cafeteria lunch included strawberry milk and pink cookies, all to raise “pink” awareness among all the students and staff.
