September 21, 2012 was graduation day at Hubert H. Humphrey for ninety-one students. After a presentation of the colors by the Army National Guard, the national anthem was sung by Jean “Titi” Kabambe, guest vocalist and member of the Sounds of Blackness. David MacKenzie, Center Director, greeted the graduates and their families. SGA President, Demetrius Johnson-Miller spoke about student aspirations for a successful life. The keynote speaker was Dr. Rassoul Dastmazd, President of Saint Paul College and a first generation college graduate who had emigrated from Iran in the late 1970s. A reception hosted by the Culinary Arts Program followed the ceremony.
