Humphrey students volunteered at the First Annual Como Park Ice Cream Social to help with children’s activities and serving up toppings for the ice cream. After helping to set up for the event, they made (and also wore) ice cream hats for the kids and applied temporary tattoos. Some of the students who participated in this most American event found it very fun and were thrilled by meeting so many members of the community. About 450 neighbors came to the grounds of the District 10 office, a historic building near Como Lake, to enjoy the evening and the camaraderie. Ted Blank, District 10 Administrator, said “they were a big help, did a great job and had fun, too.”
