Hubert H Humphrey hosted its annual District 10 Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on the campus, an event that has become a neighborhood tradition, held on the last Saturday before Halloween. The board members of the district order in the ingredients and then come and cook up pancakes and sausages in the cafeteria kitchen under the watchful eye of Chef Gil. Tickets are sold throughout the district but the Humphrey students are guests for breakfast. Student government members put together a children’s activity corner and there’s a children’s parade. It’s a great opportunity for the students to meet and greet neighbors and have a little fun – and great pancakes – together.
