Twenty students, representing all seven trades on the Humphrey campus, visited Bethel University on a field trip to sample college life. They hiked around its 245 acres, getting a feel for the campus and were treated to lunch in the cafeteria overlooking the campus lake. This was a thank you trip for all the senior citizens who have visited the Humphrey campus. Humphrey’s Job Corps campus was the original site of Bethel and has a sentimental draw for its old grads. It has become tradition for Job Corps students to host 50th Reunion Bethel grads as they tour their old campus haunts each October. This annual meeting of old and young has created some warm friendships and conversations – and proof that some campus myths haven’t changed for 50 years!
