Humphrey hosted a Career and Resource Fair on the campus, attended by all the students, including the very new and the recently completed who came back to attend. It was an opportunity for students to have the experience of speaking to a potential employer. Only students identified by a ribbon badge were eligible to really seek employment, but all students practiced their interviewing and networking skills. Thirty organizations, including nineteen full and part-time employers, the Army, the Navy, three colleges, the International Institute, the EMS Academy, the St Paul Police Department and community resources for housing, transit and low income tax services. Employers offered information about career paths in the health, hospitality, home improvement, transportation and office administration industries and they were eager to share information about how best to qualify for those jobs.
