Student Success Story: Alexander K.

Alexander K. came to Homestead Job Corps Center to learn a vocational trade and earn his High School Diploma.  Prior to that, he attended five different local high schools with no success.  The staff at Homestead Job Corps Center, especially at the SIATech Charter High School, went that extra mile to help Alexander with his problems.  Since enrolling Alexander has:

• Earned his Diploma through SIATech Charter High School and graduated with his class on June 11, 2010

• Elected Student Government Association Male Chief Justice

• Attended a Student Government Association Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. where he met several members of Congress

“If it wasn’t for Job Corps and SIATech, I probably would never have obtained my High School Diploma.   I now have the confidence to succeed at anything I do”
