The Student Government Association at the Hawaii Job Corps Center sponsored a holiday food drive in early December. Their goal was to collect 1000 pounds of food through friendly departmental competitions at the Waimanalo career training center. Student Government representatives were thrilled that they exceeded their goal and were able to deliver 1485 pounds of food to the St. Matthew’s Church Kokua Food Basket in Waimanalo. “The generosity of kind hearts, like the Job Corps ohana, helps us provide for those who are in need within our beloved community of Waimanalo” said Nickie Hines, Facilitator of the Kokua Food Basket.
