(WAIMANALO, Hawaii) On March 19th, students from the Job Corps Center in Waimanalo held a benefit car wash and raised $900 for the Hawaii Food bank. The students have set a goal to raise $1,500 and collect 500 pounds of food for the Food bank. They are holding an internal drive and will reward staff who donates with fresh baked goods prepared by their culinary students. This project is especially close to the hearts of many of these students as they have been recipients of the Food bank in the past and this is a way for them to give back.
