On December 8, 2011, the Hartford Job Corps Academy hosted the “Keeping our Community Connected:  Annual Recognition Breakfast” with the Honorable Pedro E. Segarra, Mayor of the City of Hartford.  The event was well attended by members of the Community Relations Council, City officials, Job Corps Alumni, and other community representatives.  The Hartford Courant newspaper posted a picture of students Ashley Morgan and Christina Smith as they shared a moment with Mayor Segarra.  Another picture of the event was printed on December 18th featuring several student leaders and the Academy Director as they listened to the Mayor address Job Corps supporters in attendance that day.
