Hartford Job Corps Students Help Youth Challenge of Hartford

On Saturday, December 3, 2011, the Hartford Job Corps Academy (HJCA) students in collaboration with the Citadel of Love Church parishioners stepped up to help the Youth Challenge of Hartford in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene and Winter Storm Alfred.  Youth Challenge of Connecticut Inc. operates residential programs and conducts outreach to people with life controlling problems such as substance abuse and helps them become drug free.  Due to the lack of funds, the Hartford location was unable to repair affected areas. HJCA students and other community volunteers assisted where needed, especially by removing debris, painting, and power washing buildings exteriors.
