Faces of Job Corps: Denise Saez

Denise Saez came to the Hartford Job Corps Academy at age 18. A high school dropout since the age of 14, she left behind a life of turmoil and confusion and hoped that Job Corps could help her find her footing and reclaim her life. Denise’s hopes became an incredible reality over the course of just a year and a half as she studied and
completed Office Assistant, obtained her GED, served as an active student leader on campus. She recently accepted a position at Liberty Bank in Cromwell, CT as a Bank Teller. Denise left Hartford Job Corps in November 2010 to start her journey and create a more solid and productive life for she and her daughter. Denise plans to begin studying at Capital Community College to obtain her Associates Degree in Communications in the Fall of 2011. Denise Saez is exactly the type of woman that the Job Corps program is designed to serve. She is honest about her past, excited about her future and dedicated to overcoming anything and everything she needs to in order to succeed in life. Everyone who has known her has been touched by her story and by her resilience.
