Family Day, September 11, at the Guthrie Job Corps Center was well attended with prizes given to the one traveling the farthest (Chicago), to the youngest (3 weeks old) and to the oldest (86 years). Family members, students and staff had a great day touring the center, sliding down an enormous blow up slide, riding a bucking mechanical bull and a cake walk. All topped off with the Culinary Arts department showing their culinary talents with strawberry cakes, cookies and punch being served and eaten as fast as they were out of the oven.
