Mr. Alexander P. Alston, Center Director of the Gulfport Job Corps Center was recently interviewed by WLOX -TV 13 (an ABC affiliate) Action News Reporter Trang Pham-Bui about the new construction at the Gulfport Center. Mr. Alston expressed that MINACT, Inc., the operator of the Gulfport Center, is committed to keeping the history of the 33rd Avenue High School, which was an all black high school that closed its doors in the late 1960’s. The Center is expected to have all new facilities by the end of 2013, which will replace the facility that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and closed the doors of the Gulfport Center almost five years ago.
