On Thursday, November 5th Security/MilCap students were honored to have two Detectives from the
NYC Police Department visit their classroom. Detective Yusef Hamm and Detective Eric Blake, came to
Glenmont Job Corps Center from Brooklyn, NY. They spoke to our students about the prerequisites of
becoming a NYC police officer and the benefits of joining the NYC Police Department. Students were
engaged and were excited to learn that the FEMA courses accumulates college credits that apply to the
application requirements. Mr. Mosso, the Security/MilCap instructor whoarranged this visit, exchanged information with the two Detectives. Mr. Mosso is looking forward to sharing his experience with others
who may be interested.
