On Thursday June 29, 2016 student leaders Jerome Blackwell, Robert Kenne-dy, Destin Fitzgerald, and Aktasia Thomp-son visited Senator Breslin at the State Capitol in Albany, New York. “I enjoyed his presence and he gave me a lot of insight on how he became a sena-tor. I’ve always been interested in politics but he gave me a better rea-son to get involved. Politics not only helps me but it helps the people in my community” stated Jerome Blackwell.The visit was a great experience for the students and gave all of them a different perspective on politics and making a difference in their communities.
