Y2Y Troy peace rally 4-2016 On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 Glenmont Job Corps Center’s Youth2Youth Ambassadors joined with Sage College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York for a march and rally in recognition of National Crime Victims Week. The march and rally was an opportunity for students from all backgrounds to join together and speak out in a peaceful way for people who have been victims of crime. “The opportunity to witness a march was amazing!”, stated Y2Y chairmen Mikayla Clubb. “I had a chance to join with my peers, walk the streets with posters and signs and chant No Violence! No Hate!. New York police were involved, where they blocked off the downtown streets so we could be seen and heard with no interruption”. The Y2Y ambassadors are excited to incorporate some ideas they learned from their experience to have a peace march and rally here at Glenmont Job Corps.
