simple giving blog

November 14, 2015.  Students from Glenmont Job Corps Center gathered at a local church with others from our community  to attended their 8th annual community service event, “A Simple Day of Giving”.   Ms. Arista Watts, Peer Leadership Coordinator,and students:  Nelson Rodriguez ,Brittney Mudge,  Devaughn Gregory, and Virginia Pasciucco-Lari, volunteered their time and gave back to less fortunate individuals and families in our community. During the event, our students created handmade gifts, wrote personalized messages to our troops, assembled gift baskets, and even put ingredients together for homemade soups. All of the items that were assembled will be delivered to the less fortunate families in the Albany,NY  area during the holiday season. This was an opportunity for the students at Glenmont Job Corps to give back to others and our students were elated to do so!
