On February 5,2016, Glenmont Job Corps Center Culinary students catered the first ever Communiy Relations Council breakfast at our Poughkeepsie, NY office. The highlight of the brunch was when GJCC 2015 alumna Courtney Cesark shared her experience at GJCC. Courtney said that Job Corps helped her realize that hanging out and doing drugs was not going to get her anywhere. Courtney graduated from GJCC with certifications in Culinary Arts. She is currently working at one of the finest restaurants in Poughkeepsie, Shadows on the Hudson, as a prep cook. Courtney loves her job and she is proud of what she has accomplished. Courtney said“My job is fast- paced, but I love it. Chef Beth trained me well.” She is planning to attend Duchess County Community College for Early Childhood Education and Business. Her future goal is to open a bakery. Courtney enjoyed the opportunity to speak of her success and she was glad to see her instructor, Chef Beth Koster , again.
