health fair 3-2016

On Tuesday, March 8th, 2016the CNA class hosted a Health Fair for all of the staff here on center. The students worked incredibly hard to prepare their presentations for the fair. They demonstrated their trade knowledge and skills by taking participants’ blood pressure, blood sugar levels, height and weight and by providing valuable information about different aspects of health, including nutrition, tobacco use prevention, cancer facts, and early diabetes pre-screening.In continuation of the day’s theme of health, the Culinary department baked healthy cookies and provide the recipes for Health Fair participants to try at home. All of the students involved created a very professional environment and demonstrated great pride in their trade.
The following students all contributed to the fair: Angelica Aponte, Jamesha Brown, Juwan GortonPaul Cooper, Atallah Greene, Robyn Hartz, Keenan Little, Jessica Miguel-Santos, Monica Scott, Malikah Adams, plus several Culinary students. CNA Instructor Ms. Halliwell and all of the students would like to give a great big thank you to all the staff for their support of their first-ever Health Fair!
